Following last year’s successful “The Tailor’s Masterpiece”, Billy will once again appear at his best form in this year’s CTG Cantonese Play “The Importance of Being Vulgar”.  He will transform himself from the television screen on to the streets of Hong Kong, playing a series of characters showcasing the ironic yet true side of Hong Kong’s working class.  This smart and witty black comedy play will leave you in tears seconds after your seat is warm!

Under the phenomenal direction from Felix Ching Ching Ho, along with the professional screenplay by Edward Lam Dance Company, “The Importance of Being Vulgar” will leave you crying for more scene after scene.

There is much to be said about life in one of the world’s most bustling cities – Hong Kong. Playing with obscene humour and black comedy in its truest form, <<The Importance of Being Vulgar>> explores the ironic yet true side of Hong Kong through its working class, reviewing their attitudes toward daily life, work, relationships, friendships, religion, and politics.

Divided into 60 short scenes, each part reveals an extraordinary perspective on the people of Hong Kong with simultaneous multimedia and live performances, bringing you a one of a kind theatrical experience.
